alternative: invitations and shareholding ... Marriage
I'm back with another short chapter in the history of my marriage!
The date is getting closer, now we are at -12!
Today I want to tell an amazing adventure entitled invitation and join the fight against time!
In line with our choice of a marriage fast, cheap and customized, we have decided to create the graphics for invitations and participations and then turn to a printer for printing and fold the cards. Obviously ignoring the times and costs of printing works which, apparently, besides being very expensive are very long. So we had completed our work with Graphics "improvised" in a few days (I would say in a few nights since the day our little monster does not give us nearly truce ...). Luckily I am an architect and thanks to my highly decorated curriculum and years and years of experience in architectural firms specializing in crap I could easily create a file of nice, simple and fun ... And then it says that the degrees are useless now!
Instead of going to a printer (all the printers in Milan have asked us to average a month to the delivery of the printed, folded and packed for us and was really too much), we opted for a simple blueprints, style university exam (I know you architect friends know what I'm talking about ...), complete with file revision with his friend printer and phone calls to set up the final details! In the end it was a blast from the past (my past as a student of architecture) and has been a fun experience.
We have chosen an image that has become the logo of the event, a detail of a painting that we love very much, and we put a little 'everywhere ... We also looked for and found a nice quote that would accompany our request for "funds" for the honeymoon, not yet organized but expected by the end of 2011, a sort of DIY travel list!
not know if it's our job to please everyone, but we we are fully satisfied, as it is when you commit to something and can be reached (with effort) the desired result!
if only the same old story of avoiding the marriage market which provided a guidance figure of € 3 to € 0.60 against the invitation obtained (taking about 100 calls for more investments and that has printed heliograph the same figure plotted to fill the card - not for the architects to fill the remaining space of the Maxi format card on which the plotters would have printed the invitations)!
So the 3rd rule for an alternative marriage is this: not to go to a printer for invitations and participations, but a degree in architecture or graphic to be able to create and print your own invitations!
Seriously, the choice DIY is always cheaper!
